The National Business Association of Colombia –ANDI- represents Colombian private sector aiming towards a secure environment for business

ANDI is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to expand and promote economic, social and political principles within a free enterprise system, based upon beliefs that include human dignity, political democracy, social justice, private property and liberty.

ANDI was created in the city of Medellin in September 11, 1944, and since then it has always been the most important private sector association.  It groups more than 1000 companies that belong to different sectors of the economy: manufacturing, financial, food, textiles, services, amongst others and therefore represents a high percentage of Colombia’s GDP and total employment.

The association has its headquarters in Medellin, but also has branches in the cities of Bogotá, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Pereira, Manizales Ibague and Santander de Quilichao.

 
 
 
 
 

As representative of the private sector’s interests, the National Business Association of Colombia assumes the representation of its members before national and international institutions, dealing with economic, legal, social, environmental and business issues.

ANDI’s Vision: In the year 2025 ANDI will be the leading business association, with a high degree of representing private sector and recognized nationally and internationally because of its contribution to Colombia’s welfare and to a just society.  ANDI will be identified because of its solidarity and ethical values, achieved by strengthening democracy and justice and through the promotion of free enterprise and the effectiveness of institutions within the framework of a globalized world.

ANDI´s Mission: Promote the strengthening and competitiveness of private corporations along with State modernization.  Also, to encourage an overall participation of Colombia in the international community, at private and public levels, as a means of compelling social and economic development, all in search of greater welfare and well-being for the country.
